Today Rocket and I are at the Bass Pro Shop in Charlotte N.C. Rocket is the star of the show, as usual. He loves watching the children play. It is amazing how many people talk to you when you carry around a precious pup! A dad just came over and asked if his little boy could pet Rocket. Of course, Rocket was okay with this. I talked with a lady a few minutes ago about her mother and her puppy. As we were walking I noticed a young mother carrying her baby. Then it dawned on me. When we grow older we still want to take care of someone or something. I guess the mother part of me will never leave. That is okay because I love it! I love to care for others. This is truly my calling. I could never or would never want to replace my now grown children with an animal, but Rocket is a close second to my precious children. I am very thankful he has entered my life. I look forward to many adventures with him.
